The “Baskerville” range of standard equipment covers agitated and non-agitated pressure vessels and autoclaves incorporating electronic temperature and pressure control equipment with data recording technology to customer specifications. All equipment is designed to optimise ease of operation.

Methods of agitation include glandless rotary and electro-mechanical vertical reciprocating; rocking/shaking and mechanical rotary stirring.

Agitated autoclaves/units are used for numerous single, two and three phase chemical reactions, including hydrogenation, polymerisation, as well as work in supercritical fluids, resins and petroleum products etc. Viscosity can vary from gases and light solvents to solids in suspension and other high viscosity materials. In agitation these are accommodated by a variety of agitator blades and impellers.

“Baskerville” also manufacture non-agitated or static types for a wide range of applications; typically these include hydrostatic and isostatic pressure vessels; accelerated ageing of samples; environmental testing and corrosion testing; oxygen bomb equipment; bomb calorimeters; curing of special plastics; simulation of pressure filled systems and pressurised impregnation of antiquities.

The new “Baskerville” multi-cell reactor is a cost effective lightweight unit suitable for numerous stirred or non stirred applications. These include hydrogenations and applications where air sensitive materials are used or any other reaction where pressure or temperature are required.


Many other options available including:
Glass liners, sample valves, thermocouples, high level condenser and several different methods of heating.
